FIDE’s Chess in Education Initiative
The initiative managed to successfully train the very first two groups of individuals that would become the very first FIDE certified School Instructors when they pass their exams. This creates amazing new opportunities for the coaches as not only will they gain their certifications but Namibia has gained a new way of helping to educate the students in a very interactive manner.
Special thanks to Wim Anzel Laubscher for allowing coming in from South Africa to help educate our fellow chess coaches and chess enthusiasts on how to use chess to build up critical skills, geography, mathematics as well as on how to use chess to develop educational skills in this department.
