Namibia Chess Federation – NCF

Chess Governing Body

The Namibian Chess Federation (NCF) is the overall governing body of the chess sport code in Namibia. It was established in 1991.
It is responsible for :

The selection of National Teams both Junior and Senior
Organizing and Regulating Chess Sport Events throughout Namibia
Promoting Fair Play and Administering FIDE Rules and Regulations.
Training and Capacity building for its members.

Mission

To deliver quality chess events both for local and international participation through transparency and fairness. To engage and unit both the Namibian government and the corporate Industry through Chess as a sport.

Vision

To promote Chess Sport as a profession and pave the way for future Namibians to not only play professional chess but make a living from chess. To formally introduce chess in schools from grade 1 to grade 12(AS Level). As well as to promote and encourage women in chess as equals amongst men.
