Bank Windhoek Namibia School Teams Championhips
We wish to inform the Players and NCF Members on the change of date from the 24-25 February 2024 to the 9-10 March 2024, for the two Tournaments. Registration is now open.
All events will be FIDE rated.

The African Chess Confederation (ACC) and the Egyptian Chess Federation will be hosting the championships at the Guard Hotel, Cairo the Capital City of Arab Republic of Egypt. Namibia has sent off our representatives!

28 October 2023 MTC the Dome Namibia Sport Expo
Namibia National Olympic Committee (NNOC) president Abner Xoagub, Joined the Namibia Chess Federation 2023 Sport Expo stall, where he challenged the NCF President and the current Under 8 Girl Champion to some Chess games. Mr. Xoagub also conducted some interviews on behalf of the Namibia Chess Federation.

Chess Governing Body
The Namibian Chess Federation (NCF) is the overall governing body of the chess sport code in Namibia. It was established in 1991. It is responsible for :
- The selection of National Teams both Junior and Senior
- Organizing and Regulating Chess Sport Events throughout Namibia
- Promoting Fair Play and Administering FIDE Rules and Regulations.
- Training and Capacity building for its members.
